This week, Escafeld 2003 Zinfandel is the featured Wine of the Week in the Californian!
Essentials:
Rich aromas of chocolate, blackberry and raspberry. A generous concentration of mixed berry jam, blackberries and chocolate predominates a complexity of flavors. Hints of violets and vanilla give way to a long, lingering bright chocolate peppery-berry-cream finish. Enjoy now, or lay down for 3-4 years.

This wine pairs wonderfully with ribs, BBQ and all your favorite dark meat casseroles, stews and dishes, but for special occasions, try with roast duck, game, or herb crusted lamb chops with rosemary potatoes and red wine reduction sauce.
