Montrio Bistro
You'll soon be able to enjoy a glass or two of Escafeld's limited production Double Gold winning Petit Verdot with dinner at Monterey's famed Montrio Bistro.Inspired by the best European and American cuisine, and dedicated to organic and sustainable ingredients, Montrio's executive chef, Tony Baker, has created a distinctive and innovative menu, packed with delicious dishes such as wild salmon with green peppercorn cream, beer braised veal cheeks, and a "Small Bites" selection featuring one of my all time favorites, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding.
A fellow Brit, Tony's career began in the UK at several Michelin-acclaimed restaurants. These included the Luckman Park Hotel, England's 1991 Hotel of the Year, and Hintlesham Hall. In 1991 he was the recipient of the Frank Hawley Medal for Outstanding Achievement in Culinary Arts.
The award winning Montrio Bistro promises you great food, great service, fine wines and an unforgettable dining experience. Ready to reserve your table? Very cool - but roast beef and Yorkshire pudding as "small bites" does not compute!
At home, I make YP in small muffin tins and the whole family love them. But no matter how much you make, there's never enough to go around. And speaking of Great British cuisine, I'll be posting a few of my favorite Brit recipes here soon as part of Becks & Posh Fish & Quips blogging event in celebration of St George's Day. If you've never tried Toad in the Hole or Scouse, you're in for quite a treat!
