In 600AD, Anglo-Saxon invaders founded a settlement in England known as Escafeld. This word is derived from the Anglo-Saxon word "esca" (meaning border or boundary) and the word "feld" (meaning open space or clearing). This settlement later became "Sheffield", a historic town in the English county of Yorkshire, and the place where Steve spent his childhood.
Sheffield is surrounded by breathtaking scenary and, though a bustling center of commerce for a number of centuries, is steeped in history and rich folklore.
